Effective April 3, 2023:  Upstate will use the Glasgow Modified Alcohol Withdrawal Scale (GMAWS) instead of the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) scale to assess and treat alcohol withdrawal in adult patients.  The associated order set has been renamed the Alcohol Withdrawal Procedure (GMAWS) IP Order Set (30400009631) to reflect the changes.
