Hyperdrive Upgrade- This week at Community Campus
Hyperdrive is a new version of Epic that focuses on reducing clicks and screen flips.  Making more information available on each screen, of course, leads to some changes in how Epic looks. This new version has been live with a small group of your colleagues who offered to test it. This pilot has been very successful. Epic Hyperdrive will go live in 2 phases:

  *   Phase 1: Community Campus 11/7  (This week!)
  *   Phase 2: Downtown Campus 11/28

Recent change: MRI Screening Forms Now Completed in Epic
This form is now in Epic (the paper form is now for downtime needs only). For inpatients, the staff will complete the form. If, for some reason, the staff cannot complete the form (the patient cannot answer questions reliably, for example), the form will be moved to the providers to complete.

Recent Change: Sepsis Timer and BPA
A new sepsis checklist and timer are now in Epic. Along with updates to the Adult Sepsis Order Set and sepsis BPA, these changes will help with the timely management of patients with sepsis.

Improving Epic For You
We are always trying to improve your Epic experience. An internal team looked at BPAs. They removed advisories that were not actionable and improved those that were.  In this process, this team has saved 10.4 days of clicks per month across the medical system!

We are also testing a new system for the Hyperdrive go-live- a link from within Epic (in the Epic Menu) will open a Zoom session with the training team. This is available this week from 7 am-8 pm Tuesday and 6 am - 8 pm Wednesday through Saturday.
