[epicproviders] Effective 01/16/82024: Changes to Outpatient Medication Orders

[Epic - All Provider Staff]

Effective January 16, 2024:  Two medication order updates will be made to the Epic system:


  1.  A warning to add the supervising provider will display only for PA's and Residents on outpatient orders so that the supervising NPI is added to the prescription.

  1.  The Epic system will generate a cancel message for the original order when a medication order is updated via the Change button as well as the new order. This will ensure that the pharmacy has the same details for that medication as listed in Epic.
