[epicproviders] Effective 8/25/2025: Insulin Orders at Discharge and Insulin Instructions on the AVS

Very Important details regarding Insulin Orders at Discharge and Insulin Instructions on the AVS.

Effective Monday August 25, 2025: Changes have been made to eliminate challenges to update insulin orders at discharge and improve clarity of insulin instructions on the AVS. Now, Insulin instructions are added to the AVS using a new order, no longer a note at discharge.
Additionally, the Insulin Instructions - All Notes SmartText has been updated to include options for home sliding scale and pump management.

There are many possible scenarios for insulin ordering and adding AVS insulin instructions workflow.
