[epicproviders] Anonymous Patient Workflow Change

[Epic - All Provider Staff]

Beginning September 1, 2026, the process for arriving Anonymous patients will be standardized for both adult and pediatric patients.

What's changing?

If the patient's age is unknown, use the Epic date of birth shortcuts to estimate the patient's age:

  *   YB - Estimated age in years (adults or pediatric)
  *   MB - Estimated age in months (pediatric only)
  *   WB - Estimated age in weeks (pediatric only)

This standardized process will help ensure consistent registration and patient identification across all facilities.
