Subject: [util] Overnight work - heating system


Physical Plant is planning to perform maintenance that is required on HX 3 & 4 that provides zone-controlled heat to the 6E Burn unit, 6H, 6I, 6K , 5 E main operating rooms, PACU area and 2E.


The work is required to install isolation valves and will entail shutting down the zone / individual room heating system.

We will be able to maintain all areas at one constant temperature from the air handling system that supplies air to the units as we have done in the past.


If pre-staging of portable heaters for the Burn Unit is required, please let us know.



We are planning to do this work on 08/19/25 beginning at midnight but will start sooner dependent on OR case load and plan of having the system backup and operating by 0600 Wednesday morning.
