[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Change in acute hepatitis panel testing

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing. In an attempt to keep us all on the same page, the Laboratory Formulary Committee will be regularly sending out emails with recent updates and guidances.  A short description of the change is below, with more details available in the attached guidance.



Change to Acute Hepatitis Panel order:  Effective December 1, 2022, laboratory order Hepatitis Panel, Acute [O379909] will replace the current Hepatitis Panel, Acute [LAB551] order in all system order groups and preference lists.  This new order will show in Epic which specific tests will be performed.  The correct assays for the patient's age will automatically be selected.  Please see the attached guidance for additional information.
