[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Update on Free Drug Concentration Testing

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing. In an attempt to keep us all on the same page, the Laboratory Formulary Committee will be regularly sending out emails with recent updates and guidances. Below are the short versions of relevant changes.

Free Drug Concentration Testing: February 11, 2022, we notified everyone about a shortage of testing supplies at our reference laboratory, LabCorp, resulting in the inability to perform the below tests:

Phenytoin, Free, serum-EPIC code: LAB32
Valproic Acid, Free, Serum-EPIC code: LAB24

Thankfully, this shortage has now resolved and these tests are able to be performed as prior to the shortage.
