[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Magnesium and phosphorus testing change

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.



Magnesium and Phosophorus testing change: Excessive laboratory testing exposes patients to multiple risks.  Magnesium (Mg; LAB103) and Phosphorus (Phos; LAB113) frequent or repetitive testing are rarely needed for most patients.  Please see the attached guidance for more details on suggested indications and frequency for Mg and Phos testing.
