[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Blood Parasite Smear testing change

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.

Blood Parasite Smear testing change:  Beginning 7/10/2023, the Blood Smear, Malaria (LAB2707) will be renamed Blood Parasite Smear.  This change is intended to more accurately reflect the various blood parasites that may be detected and there is no change to the performance of the testing.  Please see the attached guidance for more details.
