[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Lyme Disease Diagnostic Testing Change

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing. In an attempt to keep us all on the same page, the Laboratory Formulary Committee will be regularly sending out emails with recent updates and guidances.  A short description of the change are below and in the attached guidances.

Lyme Disease Diagnostic Testing:  Starting May 4th, 2023, the current diagnostic Lyme disease testing (Lyme IgG, IgM antibody; LAB8754) will be replaced with a more improved diagnostic testing algorithm - Lyme Diagnostic Test (LAB9804).  This testing will be performed 24/7 at the Downtown campus.  For further information, please review the attached guidance for more information and the attached copy of the Interpretation Guide from the Association of Public Health Laboratories.
