[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Light Sensitive Sample Collection

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.


Light Sensitive Sample Collection: Starting September 25th, collection instructions for laboratory tests requiring the sample to be protected from light will be identified with new container codes with "LS" (for light sensitive) added to the end of the sample tube description.  A reminder text will also be displayed in collection manager to alert the person collecting the specimen to the need for protection from light.
