[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - change to Thryoglobulin testing

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.



Change in Thyroglobulin testing:  Starting February 28th, 2024, the Thyroglobulin, Quantitative (LAB9270) assay will be performed using a new assay.  The new assay has a different normal range compared to the current assay (<50 ng/mL vs <30 ng/mL) due to a change in the assay methodology and reagents.
