[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - TEG testing change

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.



TEG testing change: Starting January 8th, 2026, TEG testing will transition from 2  TEG Global Hemostasis assays (TEG Global Hemostasis with Lysis and TEG Global Hemostasis with Heparinase) to a single assay (TEG Bleeding Risk).  Additionally, the name of the TEG Platelet Mapping assay will be changing name to TEG Anti-Platelet Tx to better reflect the intended use of this assay and minimizing confusion.
