[mdphd] interim MDPhD director- Dr. Kane (August newsletter attached)

I will be serving as interim director of the MD/Ph.D. Program for the coming semester while Dr. Dhamoon is on leave.  The program is in good shape, and my goal is to help keep everything moving forward during this time.  Dr. Ghosh will be handling the clinical side of the program, including advising students transitioning from PhD to clinical years, helping arrange shadowing opportunities, and overseeing the clinical courses such as MDPH 603 as well as the more clinically focused grand rounds. I will be attending grand rounds, including helping with preparation of research-focused presentations, advising MD/Ph.D. students during their pre-clinical years, and helping with the Admissions process.  But I am also available to students and mentors as things come up—just send me an email if you want to talk about anything and we can get together.  My office is 4239 Weiskotten Hall.
