Hi Everyone,

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer! We are excited to announce that registration is officially open for the 2025 APSA NE Regional Meeting, taking place this year at the University of Rochester School of Medicine on Saturday, October 11th! This meeting will be held on the same weekend we would typically host our Tri-Institutional Conference, and we hope to have as many MD/PhD trainees from our region as possible. The event will be comprised of student talks and poster presentations, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and a dynamic keynote address by Sylvia Owusu-Ansah, MD, MPH, FAAP<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.pediatrics.pitt.edu/people/sylvia-owusu-ansah-md-mph-faap__;!!GobTDDpD7A!K3KP8KtWv_TFXsC3r1aEOODUe21qzD6CTcv7ZHVQYV7-iRhaSyX-B38TGhIKJNda9hfNyWqNJfyBlju1uL4--COSnRU98IFaQbfs$> titled: Medicine, Media, and My Journey: The Impact of  "The Pitt" medical drama series. Dr. O is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she also serves as EMS Medical Director. She is a community advocate and researcher, and served as an advisor for the medical drama series "The Pitt" on HBO MAX.
