Lecture Summary:

Environmental lung injury is the cause of most lung diseases. However, studying the thousands of exposures that may impact lung health is not easy. This lecture proposes a new mechanistic approach, i.e., that microenvironmental changes in the extracellular matrix mediate environmental lung injury. Preclinical and clinical studies will be presented, that support the use of novel, extracellular matrix-targeting agents as viable therapeutics in lung disease.

The lecture will be broadcast at https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://videocast.nih.gov/watch=57133__;!!GobTDDpD7A!JCxxa0Z79_ghuANDhOglRVsGIoaEN6-1DcY0Q6LUm0Sa8zRZTrImx51itTPGeU1KWP00ib6MVMPOUY__eNWcm8o-Bd8Y0Q$ <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:*2F*2Fvideocast.nih.gov*2Fwatch=57133/2/0101019b27e6ce34-2076646b-8a9b-4648-9032-e89e9ef483aa-000000/TrN4gyBN14cCXMEuguKcq11TKRCZMKRK5PM7srY9x-8=435__;JSUl!!GobTDDpD7A!Iv5ncK3tuedbKzQEcJJQsexp6UkBxTfqFV9xhxbcb4Psa4_OODmHSBlHnqVXu3tadj9QLmsc-YEM7sKj-i-1lRWLIAQ$> and archived for future viewing.
