Joseph A. Hill, M.D., Ph.D. will be presenting the Division of Cardiology Grand Rounds – “Cardiology on High Beam: Challenges and Opportunities” on Friday, Nov. 14 @ 7:30 am.



Joseph A. Hill, M.D., Ph.D., is the Director of the Moss Heart Center and a Professor of Internal Medicine (Cardiology) and Molecular Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, holding the James T. Willerson, M.D., and Frank M. Ryburn Jr. Distinguished Chairs.



He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Circulation, the American Heart Association's flagship cardiovascular journal.

A distinguished cardiologist-scientist, Dr. Hill is internationally renowned for his pioneering research on the molecular mechanisms of cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure. He has authored over 260 articles.



Dr. Hill earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from Duke University and completed his clinical training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is a past President of the Association of University Cardiologists and an elected member of the Association of American Physicians.



Upon completion participants will be able to:

· To be able to articulate the evolving landscape of cardiovascular

science and medicine, past, present, and future

· To recognize the importance of obesity and diabetes as a global pandemic with inevitable cardiovascular consequences

· To articulate several of the exciting opportunities presently available to address the evolving challenges of heart disease.
