Dear Class of 2029,
Happy New Year 🎉! We hope you all had a restful and refreshing break and were able to recharge before diving back into the semester. As we kick off the new year, here are some important updates, reminders, and upcoming opportunities for our class.


PATAGONIA UPDATES ❄️
We know many of you who ordered Patagonias have been eagerly awaiting updates, and we hear you! According to our tracking information, they are projected to be delivered this week. Once they arrive, we will distribute them to those who ordered as quickly as possible. We'll keep you updated in regard to any unexpected changes. Thanks for hanging in there with us!


 CLASS PHOTO DRIVE  📸
We’re excited to announce a shared Class of 2029 Google Drive folder to collect photos from our time together! These may be used for future class events, projects, and, most importantly, to look back on moments that have shaped our journey together. We’ll be sharing the link below, so if you have any photos from fun moments, social media, or everyday memories with our class, feel free to upload them to the drive. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s favorite snapshots!

STUDENT SPOTLIGHTS ✨
We’re also excited to launch weekly Student Spotlights on our new Class of 2029 Instagram page (@upstate_ncom2029)! Each week, we'll be featuring one to two classmates through a short interview to learn more about who they are beyond the white coat—their interests, passions, and what makes them them. The goal is to help us feel more connected as a class and get to know one another better. Participation is completely voluntary, and we’re looking for students who are open to sharing a little about themselves. If that sounds like you, keep an eye out for a sign-up link to be interviewed and featured! And make sure to follow our class social media!


DONOR GALA VOLUNTEERS 👗
Later this spring, SUNY Upstate will once again host the Anatomical Donor Gala, a powerful and meaningful event honoring the individuals who generously donated their bodies to medical education. We’re excited to invite students to help bring this evening together by volunteering as family escorts, assisting with memorial displays, or contributing through music performances for the families, artwork, poetry, or handwritten notes! 💻 TECH OFFICE HOURS
Tech Rep Office Hours are on-demand (in-person or virtual) sessions to discuss tech-related questions or concerns, seek assistance with Anki or third-party access, or request recommendations for software and hardware.  If you need support or just want to learn some new tech tips, reach out to Teja (BUDDHAVT at upstate.edu) to schedule a session!
