Congratulations: Certified Neuro-Interventional Clinician Certification

Upstate is fortunate to have been able to host and participate in this inaugural offering. The CNIC differs from other certifications offered by the ANVC in that it aims to create a higher standard of care through education to expand the knowledge base for all the staff involved in the Neuro-Interventional suite. This was a full 2-day course (2, 8 hour class days) with the exam being offered on the following day (which everyone passed!) It provided a wealth of information from many different angles, helping to expand the expertise of each member of the Neuro IR team. There have only been roughly 40 others who have taken the course and exam. With our 10 participants who took the exam at this location, we are one of the only Comprehensive Stroke Centers in the nation with this level of certification in their respective IR departments!

Certification with the CNIC-BC helps to ensure that our patient population receives the best educated, most devoted staff who are committed to constant improvement in our Neuro Interventional care!
