The Joslin Pediatric Diabetes Care and Education Specialist team (CDCES) has been doing a Diabetes School Education Day for several years. This event is free to school nurses and staff each year. This year we provided 4.5 CEUs to the nurses who attended. The program has improved with each year, and we keep getting an increased number of school nurses that want to participate.

We had 50 school staff of our 29 counties registered with 44 attended.

Clark Burn Center will host Trivia Night Sept. 20 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Crazy Daisies. The event includes trivia, raffle baskets, and prizes for best theme/costume and the top winning teams. Individual registration is $20, a group of four is $60, and a group of six is $80. Individuals can request to be added to a specific team or be part of a random team assignment.
