The Nursing Practice Excellence Department will be holding open forums to discuss the PEF Performance Management process for bedside RNs. The open forum will provide guidelines for performance development, instructions on how to complete the forms, allow staff to better understand the importance of completing their performance program, and allow staff to ask questions. Please see the attached flyer with a QR code and/or zoom link to join. Open forums will be held April 23rd, April 30th, May 7th, and May 14that 11am and 10pm.

Stop the Bleed's Free Public Courses

The council is  seeking Research or Evidenced Based Practice posters to display throughout the Month on June, 2025. Deadline for poster submission May16th, 2025. Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 – 2026 Mentoring Program.  This is a one-year program beginning July 1st with the expectation of Mentors & Mentees meeting monthly.

Trauma Fest 2025 on Wednesday, May 21st from 10AM–2PM on Elizabeth-Blackwell Street—a special day that also marks National Trauma Survivors’ Day.
This internal appreciation event celebrates all who provide outstanding trauma care. Join us for food, fun, and festivities featuring AMR, Syracuse Fire, University Police, air medical services, our trauma partners, PB&J’s and Christiano’s Kitchen food trucks, and more.

Upstate Trauma's Annual T-Shirt Sale
T-Shirts will be sold on Tuesday, May 13th outside of the cafeteria (2nd Floor) at University Hospital from 6:30AM-4:30PM.
The shirts will be $20 for both Crew and V-necks. Cash, Check or Card will be accepted. Small-4XL will be available in both options.
No pre-orders will be accepted.
All remaining shirts will be sold at TraumaFest on Wednesday, May 21st outside on Elizabeth-Blackwell St.
