Dear Nursing Team,

I want to take a moment to express how incredibly proud and inspired I am - and how proud our entire Magnet team is- of each and every one of you. Throughout our Magnet site visit, your passion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence radiated across every corner of Upstate.

Our Appraisal Team witnessed firsthand what makes Upstate Nursing truly exceptional - the compassion, quality, and dedication you bring to every patient encounter. They saw the strength of our teamwork, the depth of our collaboration, and the unwavering support across our organization. They experienced our spirit of innovation, our drive to take initiative, and our commitment to inquiry. They saw the very best of who we are, what we do, and how remarkable each of you are. We could not have asked for a more powerful demonstration of our values in action.

Our Magnet appraisers were deeply impressed by all that they saw and experienced first-hand. The only feedback they shared was a wonderful challenge for us: to publish and share our incredible work with the broader nursing community. The excellence that happens here every day deserves to be seen and celebrated beyond our walls.

Next, the appraisers will submit their reports, and the Magnet Commission will begin its review. We expect to hear the final determination within 2-3 months. I look forward to celebrating with all of you soon.
