Hi Team,
Sharing the latest updates from the Parking Office. Please take a moment to review the important information below.
Parking Updates and Reminders
* Reminder to employees with parking garage access: Parking garage access is only to be used by the individual permit holder and only during work-related activity.
* Sharing of employee access to the garage is not allowed and is a theft of service subject to investigation by University Police.
* Employees who pay for monthly parking in the garages and are using hospital/clinical services as a patient do not have to pay for use of the garage during their clinical/hospital appointments. To avoid being charged or issued a parking violation use the following procedure:
* Notify Parking at least 1 week prior to your appointment, Parking will add a note to your account that will notify Parking Enforcement that you are here for an appointment.
* Notify Parking via email PARK at upstate.edu<mailto:PARK at upstate.edu>
* In the email provide your name and badge number.
* Employees are not allowed to park in patient/visitor areas or in unauthorized parking spots.
* Employees without garage access who pay the daily rate are not allowed to park in patient visitor areas. Parking in restricted areas could result in a parking ticket. Please refer to the link for the Parking Policy https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://upstate.ellucid.com/pman/documents/view/12826__;!!GobTDDpD7A!OsEeyQXHcR54jocAuoLz6roSLUAokj-9oKnEtb3DhHZb5joMpcapXhBC7RSjxxUTKAev15R5eS6JYWU3Ce8bQCTsorqR$
* Community Campus employees must park in their assigned parking lot.
* Employees are not allowed to remove barricades, use another employee's badge, or use any other method to gain access to restricted parking areas they are not assigned too.
* Do not park in patient or visitor parking. There are a limited number of parking spaces for patients and visitors, continued use by employees negatively impacts patients and visitors.
* Please do not park in accessible parking spots unless you are assigned and authorized. Several employees are parking reserved accessible areas even though they are not assigned.
* If you do not have your badge to enter gated lots, you must park at OCC and take the shuttle.
* If you have outstanding parking tickets, please make arrangement to appeal the ticket or pay the fines. The link to appeal or pay your parking ticket is here https://aimsweb01.upstate.edu/ .
* When using shuttle on demand services please allow for at least 30 minutes for the shuttle to pick you up and arrive at your destination.
* At times, several people are attempting to use the service and although the shuttle drivers do their best to accommodate the need there are delays in traffic and service that impact riding times.
* Reminder that exiting the parking garage during peak times can be delayed due to traffic congestion, on-going construction and weather. Upstate continues to work to mitigate the impact, however we cannot control road construction, traffic or weather.
