The New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) District II is pleased to present an educational webinar focused on Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in Pregnancy & Considerations for Respectful Care on TODAY, Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EST.

The webinar will feature guest speaker Leah L. Habersham, MD, MBA, MSCR, FACOG, FASAM, who is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, holding primary appointments in both the Departments of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and Psychiatry. As a dual board-certified OB/GYN and Addiction Medicine specialist, Dr. Habersham leads The Bridge Program, an innovative initiative providing integrated obstetric, gynecologic, and addiction care. The webinar will also feature, Stacy Scott, PhD, MPA, who is a subject matter expert for the NYSPQC, Executive Director at Baby 1st Network, and founder of the Global Infant Safe Sleep Center, is a 30-year public health advocate and infant safe sleep expert who's worked from the government agency level to ground zero spearheading numerous community outreach programs nationwide to end health disparities and reduce the risk of sudden unexpected infant deaths.

During the webinar, Dr. Habersham and Dr. Scott will:

  *   Share insight through a lived experience interview;
  *   Review NYS epidemiological data related to pregnancy/postpartum and SUD;
  *   Discuss SBIRT in maternal clinical settings;
  *   Identify treatment options for maternal population with SUD; and
