Case 1:
A 20-month-old male presents to the emergency department with two episodes of vomiting. Per mom, he was doing well all day but she is concerned he might have gotten into something while she was cleaning.

Case 2:
An 86-year-old female with a history of hypertension and valvular repair presents to the emergency department with respiratory distress. She is placed on BIPAP and requires intubation for work of breathing. After intubation, it's recognized that she has an anion gap metabolic acidosis.

Case 3: A 2-year-old female presents to the emergency department with inconsolability. Pulse oximetry was noted to be 88%. The child is not prescribed any medications and is previously healthy.
