In order to safely work on the heating and cooling ventilation ductwork located on the seventh floor of the south wing of University Hospital in support of the Heart & Vascular Project, the heating and cooling system needs to be shut down on Thursday, March 25th. The third and fourth floors north of stairwell #6 of the UH south wing will experience no mechanical ventilation from 06:00-09:00 hours while ductwork transition work is being completed. Once the work is completed that affects the third and fourth floors we will start the second grouping of ductwork that requires modification. This work will start at approximately 09:00 hours with an expected duration of three hours. The UH south wing fifth floor will experience no heating and cooling ventilation air during this period. The exhaust ventilation system in all areas referenced will not be impacted by this work.

No patient care areas will be impacted and affected areas will be limited to the third, fourth and fifth floors of the UH south wing only.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact project manager Scott Bloss at 315-863-55786 or Rich Peterson at 860-885-4345.
