NORMAL POWER INTERRUPTION NOTICE FOR

University Hospital West Wing


TO:                        All Departments with Space in the West Wing of the Hospital


SUBJECT:             Electrical Power Interruption Notice for the Hospital Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 2:00 am to 10:00 am.

DATE:                   January 5, 2023



On Saturday January 7, 2023 from 2:00 am to 10:00 am the West Wing of the Hospital will be experiencing a power outage on the normal power for all floors to allow a contractor to work safely.

Emergency power will not be affected during this outage.

This is what you can expect to happen from 2:00 am to 10:00 am Saturday:


  *   At 2:00 am power will be shut off and we will wait for 15 minutes to begin to insure there are no impacts that were unforeseen.
  *   2:00 am to 10:00 am Normal power outlets and lighting will be off
  *   2:00 am to 10:00 am Elevator lobbies and corridors in the west wing will have limited lighting


Sensitive patient care equipment should be plugged into red outlets. Any non-critical office equipment or computers should be turned off in advance of this outage.

The East Wing, East Tower, and other Campus buildings will not be affected by this outage.
