CRITICAL POWER SHUTDOWN NOTICE FOR

THE HOSPITAL WEST & NORTH WINGS ONLY



TO:                        All Departments with Space in the Hospital West & North Wings

SUBJECT:             Critical Power Shutdown Notice

TODAY'S DATE:                                August 26, 2024

INTERRUPTION DATE:                   August 28, 2024




On Wednesday, August 28th, between the hours of 4:00 am and 7:00 am we will be removing power from our Emergency Power Critical Branch which includes all the RED outlets in the West & North Wings of the Hospital which will allow us to complete electrical breaker installations for current and future projects.


We are asking you to please have any critical equipment that is currently on a RED outlet moved to a normal white outlet no later than 3:00 am on Wednesday August 28th if you have space in the West Wing or North Wing of the Hospital.

This is what you can expect to happen:

  *   Someone will be doing rounds at 3:00am to confirm that there are no emergencies before we get started.
  *   A Vocera announcement will be made to indicate we will be removing critical branch power to the North and West Wings at 3:50am
  *   Power will be removed from the Emergency Power Critical Branch at 4:00am
  *   A Vocera announcement will be made when the work is completed.  At this time all equipment can be moved back to the RED outlets.  Someone will also be making rounds to announce this as well.


East and South Wings and other Campus buildings will not be affected by this work.
