[util] Utility Work Notice - University Hospital

On July 9-11, contractors will be working on the 8th floor of University Hospital correcting and repairing penetrations in the fire walls.

They will be opening only one tile at a time to enter the ceiling.   All work will be completed above the ceiling on an as needed basis to fill or repair walls.  They will only be removing one ceiling tile at a time to access the area for inspection and repair of minor penetrations at this time.

If any large repairs are needed, they will be completed by the construction crew at a later time and handled on a case-by-case basis.
If the contractor needs access to any open patient areas, we will discuss the need with the proper nursing staff in the area to create a local plan with staff so there is no interruption to patient care.
Once complete they will return the area to normal.
This is ongoing monthly work. Future notices will be supplied to the areas affected as the contractor moves from floor to floor going from the 8th floor to the basement.
