Hi all,
I also am following along with book club asynchronously for now although would love to join a discussion in the future!
Still working my way through Demon Copperhead, beautifully written and so heavy.
Thanks for the inspiration to read again!
Nayla

Although I do not come to the discussions, I always read the books. I find they expand my reading area and are usually enjoyable and informative. Thank you for keeping me on the list.
Pat

Hello,
There was a group of 10 who met to discuss "Demon Copperhead" by Barbara Kingslover on 1/22/24. It was a wonderful, in depth discussion of the book and author followed by sharing of current books we are reading and enjoying. The resounding agreement was that Barbara Kingslover is a brilliant author who is sometimes difficult to read but is always worth it if you can get to the middle of the book without giving up!
The next book is "The Violin Conspiracy" by Brendan Slocumb. It is a mystery about a Black classical musician whose family heirloom violin is stolen on the eve of the most prestigious classical music competition in the world.
We will meet on Mon., 3/18/24 at 5:30 pm - location TBD.
The rest of our dates/books for the year are:
May 6, 2024 - "Indigo Girls" by Natasha Boyd.
June 10, 2024 - "Pandora's Lab: Seven Stories of Science Gone Wrong" by Paul Offit, MD.
Hope to see you there!
Deb Hermann and Dale Avers
