[epicproviders] Daylight Saving Time 2025: Fall Back Epic Reminders

[Epic - All Provider Staff]

All Inpatient and ED Clinicians

Sunday, November 02, 2025: Daylight Savings Time (DST) will occur at 0200. During the Fall DST event, there are two
consecutive 1:00 A.M. hours. Epic must compress this overlap into a single timeline. To keep documentation accurate,
follow the steps below.

  *   Two 1:00 A.M. hours are represented in Epic.
  *   The first half-hour (1:00-1:29) represents the first 1:00 A.M. hour.
  *   The second half-hour (1:30-1:59) represents the second 1:00 A.M. hour.
  *   Documentation must be adjusted so times remain chronologically correct.
  *   Follow downtime protocols for one hour, beginning at the second 1:00 A.M.
  *   Once the system is back online, manually enter:
     *   Medication administrations
     *   I/O's
     *   Vitals
