[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Update - Cryoprecipitate Transfusion change

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.



Cryoprecipitate Prepare and Transfuse Order change:  Starting August 8th 2024, the current suite of Prepare and Transfuse Cryoprecipitate orders will be replaced by a single Prepare and Transfuse Cryoprecipitate order.  This single order is more streamlined, with guidance for appropriate dosage and indications.  The intent with this change is to decrease the current confusion with these order, decrease delays in care due to incorrect orders, and to allow accurate nursing documentation of transfusion of cryoprecipitate.
