[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - Blood Product Ordering changes ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.



Blood Product Ordering change: Starting June 21st, the Epic orders for preparation and transfusion of blood products will be updated to simplify the ordering process, clarify transfusion tracking, and minimize confusion.  The number of different orders will be markedly decreased and all orders will be available from a single "Blood Administration" orderset.  Blood product documentation will be easier to track within the Laboratory Results Review tab.  Please see the attached guidance for further details.
