MED2029 Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship

Dear Upstate Medical Students,



I would like to remind you of the Carolyn L. Kuckein Student Research Fellowship, a nationally competitive program, open to first- and second-year medical students. Each medical school may nominate only one student, and Upstate will select a single proposal to advance for national review.

Applications must be submitted to the Upstate AΩA Chapter Student Research Committee, directed to Dr. Lynn Cleary with a copy to Patty Gooden, by January 5, 2026. The final application must then be submitted online to the national AΩA office by January 20, 2026, with award announcements scheduled for May 1, 2026.
